Summer in Park City Utah
We were staying in Salt Lake City Utah and decided to drive over and spend some time in Park City. You may think of this as a winter ski resort destination, but what a charming town this is, even in the summer.

As the host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the Utah Olympic Park in Park City offers something for most. In the summer you can still ‘bobsled’ on the bobsled track, zip line, enjoy virtual rides in the museum or just hang out at the pool and watch the Flying Aces.

Main Street in Park City is very walkable and home to so many shops and restaurants. How appropriate and creative is Create PC, Local Artist’s Gallery with the paint brushes hanging above the entrance? The town is colorful, festive and picturesque with the mountain backdrop.

You never know what you’ll see. We spotted this VW van parked on the street. I wonder if it’s outfitted as their traveling home? That’s so popular now.

There were so many pretty flowers along the streets in pots and huge hanging baskets. We also happened up on these floral in cutout trellises. I think I need one of these!

One of our favorite meals was here in Park City at High West Saloon. Walking up the street to the restaurant, tucked behind the picket fence and massive flower boxes, you will start noticing all of the outdoor dining space. We chose to eat inside and were seated in the large open room with the bar. The room was lined with beautiful blue bottles that we learned were for bottling their vodka.

The food was delicious, especially the tacos. The portions were large and filling. It was interesting to see the distillery sections that are displayed behind glass in the restaurant. Highly recommend High West if you are near Park City in Utah.

I’m sure this town is even more amazing in the winter than summer with the mountains covered in snow. Notice the ski lift path across the street here by High West. Definitely want to spend some time here in the winter one day.

I didn’t realize they would keep some parts of the Olympic part open – what a great idea!
