Nowhere have I made more girls trips to than Southlake Town Square! And just as it was recommended to me, I either recommend it to others or even accompany them!! So far, not one single person has been disappointed on a Dallas girls getaway to Southlake.
Location
For as long as I can remember, ‘Dallas’ is a term that has been used loosely to refer to the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex. Growing up less than 2 hours east of Dallas, as we refer to basically any area of the metroplex, it was a frequent destination. We went to Dallas for Six Flags-actually in Arlington. Ranger Baseball Games-again Arlington. High School shopping trips to Dallas with friends-didn’t get further than Mesquite.
Other Dallas shopping trips sometimes only took us to Plano, Frisco, Allen, or Firewheel in Garland. Stockyards, Sundance Square-those are actually in Ft Worth. Although, yes, we actually go to Dallas and love it, you get the idea. And now my favorite ‘Dallas’ destination, is Southlake Town Square in Southlake near DFW International Airport.
I want to share with you some of our most favorite old and new places to stay, relax, shop and dine in Southlake. After a recent trip, to introduce this incredible getaway destination to some girlfriends, I’m finally posting to introduce it to you too!! I have been here on so many birthday trips (me, my daughter and SIL have bdays together), girls trips and even with my hubby. So, it’s about time! Haha
Favorites
100% of the time we stay at Hilton Southlake. Aside from Covid-time travels, we typically pull up, unload our luggage and go check in while our vehicles are valet parked for the entire time. This is possible and feasible because we can either walk or take the hotel shuttle to any of the wonderful places nearby.
Hilton Southlake is a very nice hotel right in Southlake Town Center connected to amazing shopping, dining and even a movie theater. There is an on-site restaurant and a grab and go coffee shop. During the summer, we enjoy the outdoor pool, overlooking McPherson Park. Once we were even booked on the floor with the private executive lounge and balcony. Very nice.
Spa
Another place that we always book, before arriving, is Corinthians Wellness Spa. Again, 100% of the time. In fact, we usually book everything several weeks in advance to make sure we get rooms at the Hilton and services at Corinthians. The hotel shuttles us to and from (again, other than Covid era) the spa, since it’s across a busy highway. Not that we would want to walk after relaxing at the spa anyway.
Corinthians Wellness Spa is my favorite place to be pampered. From the thick comfy robes, to the awesome relaxation rooms (one has a starry nite ceiling affect), to the drinks and treats or lunch, to the variety of perfectly satisfying massages, to the facials, amazing dry pedicures, shop and so much more, they will make you feel like a queen for the day! It is a beautiful spa and they have highly professional staff.
Dining
There are so many fabulous places to eat in and around Town Square. Brio Tuscan Grille is very close to the Hilton and we usually always walk a block or so to it for dinner one nite. The food is excellent and we enjoy dining on the patio when possible.
Another place we frequent is Cheesecake Factory. Whether we have a chance to eat a meal there or not, grabbing Cheesecake and taking it to the hotel at the end of the nite is a must for me. A slice of Chocolate Mouse Cheesecake is my fav.
Mi Cocino is a great Mexican Food restaurant that we frequent and is easily within walking distance of the hotel or Town Square shopping.
A new restaurant is now open called Moxie’s. Oh my!! This has a beautiful, modernly furnished indoor space and a large outdoor patio. My friends and I discovered this lovely place in October and I’m so glad we did. The food was not only delicious, but beautifully presented. We were all extremely happy with our lunch selections.

Other dining options in Town Square, or the close surrounding area include: Truluck’s, Rockfish Seafood Grill, Coal Vines Pizza & Wine Bar, Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, Modern Market Eatery and so many more!! It’s a foodie paradise!
Shopping
There is no shortage of shopping in Southlake Town Square either. Some favs that the girls and I like to shop are: Sephora, Loft, Kendra Scott, Anthropology, Pottery Barn, Soma, and Williams Sanoma. There were some new shops on our recent trip this Fall. One that was suggested at the hotel and we all really liked, was called Sugarboo & Co. They had some really nice home decor, clothing and gift items. The store was so cute and welcoming!
Parks
In addition to shopping and dining, you most likely will experience some live music when you visit. There are several parks scattered throughout Southlake Town Square such as Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park which is behind Brio’s and oftentimes has live music that can be enjoyed from Brio’s patio. It has a fountain and a lovely canopy of trees providing shade and beauty while resting on the nearby park benches.
Rustin & Family Park is the larger park in the square. It actually has a pond, a pavilion, several fountains and benches. Very nice place to take a shopping break. Enjoy a picnic lunch here when the weather is nice. Enjoy the large Christmas Tree during the holiday season here too.
Something For Everyone
There are way too many to name here, but just know you’ll find almost anything you are looking for as you browse retailers such as Coach, Apple, Lululemon, Tyler’s, Vera Bradley, Altar’d State, Origins, Banana Republic and Market by Macy’s.
My daughter loves the 2 story Barnes and Noble here. That also gives us 2 Starbucks on the square. Directly down the street from the Hilton is a movie theater. Unfortunately, it has closed. Maybe someone will reopen it in the future. As you can see though, this destination is packed with something for everyone. Check it out as soon as you get a chance. I think you will love it!!
About Us
We are Bud and Debbie Lilly, two travel lovers from Texas. Spending an enormous amount of time researching each location to find the best places to eat, sites to see and things to do is actually something I love to do. Not for everyone, I know. But, we are blogging our experiences to let you know what you can expect in each location and so you don’t have to redo the research. Let us know if you go on any of the same trips and if you find places that impress you. We would love to hear from you!
We feel so enriched by the people we meet and the places we see. Thank you for supporting our blog!
